Golf In France

France is a magical country and has potential to charm its every visitor. Talking about France conjures up images of chateaux and vineyards, crusty bread and smelly cheeses, the Eiffel Tower, the Tour de France and even the garlics and onions. The French people have an air of grace and sophistication with a twist of ‘va va voom’ and a dash of ‘je ne sais quoi’.

France also boasts a proud golfing tradition. In 1856, continental Europe's first golf course was created at the town of Pau in the sleepy Béarn region of the southwest—predating England's first course, the Royal North Devon, by eight years. Today with its varied landscapes and topography France is ideal golfing country and today there are more than 550 courses.

Being the most fashionable holiday destination, south of france offers you varied choices - enjoy its championship golf courses, the international cities of Cannes and Nice and year-round fantastic weather. To spoil you more, there are close to 21 courses within a half-hour radius from both Cannes and Nice including the best 12 courses like Cannes Mougins, Royal Mougins, Taulane, La Grande Motte, Four Season and Barbaroux.

When To Go

April to September are the best months to travel in France. But the high season in July and August can get a little stifling.

Walk through Paris and visit your favourites (be it the popular cafe, market, square or landmark you love). Take your time admiring art at the Louvre.  Extend your stay in France to sample the wine at Bordeaux and the good life in the South.
