The Indian city of Hyderabad laden with India’s new found IT prowess continues to remain historically and politically very important. In June this year, the southern state of Andhra Pradesh was divided into two- Andhra Pradesh and its northern area carved out to create a new state called Telangana. Hyderabad now forms the joint capital of these two states.

Hyderabad is also famously referred to as the Pearl City and is home to iconic tourist attractions ranging from heritage monuments, lakes and parks, gardens and museums. Ruled by the Qutub Shahis, the city has a history of nearly 400 years. In fact, relics of Qutb Shahi and Nizam rule remain visible even today, with the Charminar that was commissioned by Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah himself and Golconda fort being another major magnificent historic landmark in the city.

During the British period, Hyderabad, under the Nizam’s, was the largest princely state in India. The royal legacy here is also evident in the city's distinctive cuisine, which includes world renowned Hyderabadi biriyani and Hyderabadi halem, which is always on top of the list of a foreign tourist.
The Boulder Hills Golf Course in Hyderabad is the new golfing address for the golf aficionados in the city dominated by tech honchos. Fortunately, the 18-hole undulating championship course at Boulder Hills is blessed

by Mother Nature. Huge rocks and majestic boulders provide breathtaking natural environment, backdrops and hazards, as the course meanders through spectacular scenery.

It’s ten of the eighteen holes have elevated tees designed in such a way that players could aim precisely at the hole literally speaking seeing it in front of them. The course is located in the middle of the new Gachibowli Township in Hyderabad.

Truly inspiring indeed, Boulders Hills is a lot more than a great golf course. It’s a futuristic world-class leisure and residential community spread out over 500 acres of land; envisioned around life essentially revolving around the 18-hole championship golf course.

Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority conducted a 4 multi-city Roadshow from 25 - 30th August, 2014 in Chandigarh, Chennai, Hyderabad and Kolkata to showcase this picturesque destination, which has made its mark in every tourism genre, be it MICE, Leisure, Honeymoon, Adventure and Golf.

PASH India was a part of the roadshow with their local partner from Mauritius TOP Only to promote Mauritius as a golf destination for the Indian golfers looking for a luxury golf getaway.

"India is a very important emerging market for Mauritius and the target is to achieve 100,000 Indian arrivals, which we will comfortably achieve this year. MICE is a big thrust area for us. MTPA in conjunction with the other government organisation and Air Mauritius is offering a lot of facilities and incentives to MICE tourists. A group of minimum 100 people staying for minimum two nights will be eligible to avail the incentives. For weddings that are being conducted in Mauritius, we give special facilities, such as duty free import of jewelries, flowers, fruits and other things required for a wedding. We also provide duty free liquors at one point to one person. If you have VIPs we provide security, special counters at immigration, special spaces to park the coaches. Apart from MICE Tourism, Honeymoon Tourism is also an integral part of MTPA. MTPA is holding roadshows, Mauritius themed wedding couture shows and participating in various travel trade shows in India," said Vivek Anand, Country Manager - India, MTPA.

An amateur golfer is one who addresses the ball twice ... once before swinging, and once again, after swinging.
Golf Tip
Part I: Before You Swing
Lesson #9: One Spot For Every Shot

When it comes to the fundamentals, consistency is paramount. If you can repeat the same positions, moves, and methods over and over, you'll simplify your technique and ingrain the correct habits.

That's one of the reasons why I maintain one ball position for all shots. Then, to make the setup comfortable and the stance stable, I move my right foot closer to my left as the loft of the club increases. I realize that many instructors advocate that you move the ball progressively back in the stance as your club shortens. But when you do that, you're changing the loft on the clubs - if you play the 6-iron a bit farther back than the 5-iron, then you're delofting that 6-iron so that it's effectively a short 5-iron. You're also changing the point at which your swing makes contact with the ball. I have enough trouble maintaining one impact point - I don't want to have to deal with a dozen of them.

Unless I'm trying to play a special shot of some sort, I position the ball at a point just back of my left heel. Your own position may be a bit farther forward or back, but I encourage you to determine exactly where it is, and then stick with it for every club in your bag.
